High-level overview of NetExpert Neon Portal...

Neon Portal presents concise, timely, and intuitive visualization of the customer’s experience and service quality. Using a variety of Portlets it provides a Portal tailored to the specific needs of individual support groups within the service provider’s operations. The Portal runs on both Internet Explorer as well as Mozilla Firefox.

  • Visual Displays of alarm propagation – Easy get to the root cause of the issue by looking at alarm propagation in a tree form or in the more traditional alarm management layout.
  • Alarm Management – Perform alert management tasks of acknowledging, deleting and linking to trouble ticket information. In addition interact with external devices or URLs in order to gather data and solve the problem stated in the alert.
  • Historical views – See information about select object including the object’s alert history over specified time intervals. In addition the following historical statistics display - Unknown, Available, Degraded, Unavailable, Along with the historical statistics, this portlet displays time to repair information.
  • KPI View- Instead of just monitoring fault conditions, the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) View portlet enables performance-based monitoring of systems
  • Trouble Ticket Management- View and manage associated trouble tickets as well as access a summary view by priority.
  • Predictive Service Impact Analysis - The Service Impact Analyzer enables you to analyze the impact of related resources, products, services, and customers by creating potential scenarios and viewing the results in order to help with network planning, outages and customer impact.
  • Reporting - For reports, the OSI portal initially offers a link to a reporting repository. Reports can be created and customized from this reporting interface. Report output can also be placed into portlets for additional viewing.
